I truly believe God put Pride here on this earth for me. I have learned countless lessons from him. I've had Pride since the fall of 2008 and I love him with all my heart. I plan on taking him to Pagosa Springs to achieve our dream of being a 5* Instructor. I don't know where I would be without him, he always gives me 110 percent wether I asked for it or not. Pride is used to be a scary horse, if someone other than me had him, I'm sure his future would have been alot different. He was totally unconfident, had unpleasent baggage from a previous "horse trainer" and would spook at a dime dropping on the ground. My dad often says, " it's amazing how far you've come with him, he's not even the same horse." I always choose a specialization for my horses, once I have played with them enough to know their true horsenality. Pride is recieving his
preparation for his specialization, he'll be a cow horse! His specialization will be
cutting.
I got Pride from my grandpa, picked him out of 60 horses of wich I could have
had any one. I wouldn't have any other horse than him, we seemed to share
something special, something that no one will ever feel with this horse, but me.
Pride is still a one person horse, he distrusts strangers and rarely will let them
touch him. When I'm around he doesn't seem to mind people coming up and
touching him, but when he's alone he doesn't have anything to do with them.
I'm excited for our future, I know it'll be bright and full of success (not to
mention failure, but I can't learn without it)! Together we'll make the world a
better place for horses and humans.
